Homemade Cashew Milk

This homemade cashew milk is so creamy, quick and easy to make and it will turn out to be your favorite dairy free nut milk just as it has turned out to be my favorite.

Servings 1 litre

Ingredients
  

  • 1 cup raw cashew nuts
  • 1 litre water
  • 10 dates, pitted*
  • Pinch of salt
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract, optional

Instructions
 

  • Place the cashews into a blender then add the dates, pinch of salt, vanilla extract if using and water. Blend on high for about 1-2 minutes or until the milk is smooth and creamy.
  • You can consume it immediately or place it in an air tight jar and refrigerate up to 3 days.

Notes

You can replace the dates with honey or maple syrup for sweetness or leave out all together if you want it unsweetened.
You can as well skip the vanilla extract incase you don't have it on hand.
