Am just here to make sure you have different ways in which you can enjoy your oat porridge. With this one, you got to enjoy the natural sweetness of all the fruits in this bowl as you take a portion of your veggies for the day.
This is a tasty yet vitamin rich oatmeal bowl you’ll ever have for breakfast. It’s having your cake and not feeling guilty at all since all it got it pure goodness; from the fiber of the oats, to the vitamins of the carrots, potassium in the banana, omega 3 fatty acids in the flaxseed meal and the wonderful flavors of cinnamon.
Ingredients
- 3/4 cup rolled oats
- 1 1/2 cup water
- 1 carrot, grated
- 1 teaspoon cinnamon
- 1 teaspoon flaxseed meal
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1 banana, mashed
Toppings
- Raspberries
- Chocolate chips
- Raisins & sultanas
- Sliced strawberries
Instructions
- Add oats, water and carrot to a saucepan and simmer on medium low heat while stirring for about 5 minutes.
- Add in the cinnamon, flaxseed meal, salt and mashed banana and let cook for another 2 minutes.
- Remove from heat and serve with your toppings of choice.
