Are you an oat lover?
Well, whether you are or you are not, this particular recipe will make you love some oat porridge. It is simple & quick to make yet very delicious & filling. Best for those lactose intolerant or those avoiding dairy, gluten or any animal based breakfast. It is basically gluten free and vegan!
Serves 2
Ingredients:
- 1 cup rolled oats
- 2 cups water
- 1 apple, chopped
- 1 teaspoon cinnamon
- 1 teaspoon maple syrup (or honey)
Toppings:
- Sliced banana
- Chia seeds
- Desiccated coconut
Instructions:
- Add the chopped apples to a saucepan together with the maple syrup and cinnamon. Allow to cook while stirring till the apples have soften.
- Add in the oats and water and let cook for about 5-7 minutes.
- Remove from heat and serve with your toppings of choice.
