Applepie Oatmeal Bowl

Are you an oat lover?

Well, whether you are or you are not, this particular recipe will make you love some oat porridge. It is simple & quick to make yet very delicious & filling. Best for those lactose intolerant or those avoiding dairy, gluten or any animal based breakfast. It is basically gluten free and vegan!

Serves 2

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup rolled oats
  • 2 cups water
  • 1 apple, chopped
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1 teaspoon maple syrup (or honey)

Toppings:

  • Sliced banana
  • Chia seeds
  • Desiccated coconut

Instructions:

  1. Add the chopped apples to a saucepan together with the maple syrup and cinnamon. Allow to cook while stirring till the apples have soften.
  2. Add in the oats and water and let cook for about 5-7 minutes.
  3. Remove from heat and serve with your toppings of choice.
