This pineapple green smoothie is delicious yet very nutritious. A perfect way to increase vegetable consumption.

WHAT YOU WILL NEED.
Let’s talk about the ingredients needed to make this delicious smoothie:
- Pineapples: are one of the fruits low in calories and adding them to your diet can go a long way in helping you lose weight given it’s rich nutrients profile as well as helping eliminate mucus.
- Cucumber: They are a great source of fiber.
- Banana: this adds some sweetness and contributes to making the smoothie more creamy. A great source of potassium as well.
- Kiwis: Are very high in Vitamin C and dietary fiber and provide a variety of health benefits including immunity, supporting heart health and digestive health. They are also very low in sugar hence a healthy choice of fruit rich with vitamins and antioxidants.
- Kale: A good source of plant-based calcium, needed for strong bones and teeth, and has low levels of a natural compound called oxalate, which makes the calcium more available for absorption. Kale is also a good source of vitamin K. No kale, no need to worry! Regular collard greens (sukuma wiki) can be used. If organic, the better!
- Ground Flaxseeds: They are a great source of fiber & omega 3 fatty acids. They can be substituted with whole ones or chia seeds.
- Almond Milk: A great source of protein. It can however be substituted with any other nut milk like cashews. Whatever you have on hand. Better yet a handful of the same nuts with water is another grate substitute.
- Water: It can be substituted with any nut milk.
HOW TO MAKE PINEAPPLE GREEN SMOOTHIE:
The making of this pineapple green smoothie is an easy 5 minute task yet it yields a healthy & delicious breakfast option.
Blend the ingredients: Add all of the ingredients to a blender and blend until smooth.

Pineapple Green Smoothie
Ingredients
- 1 cup diced pineapple
- ½ cucumber, washed and diced
- 1 banana
- 1 kiwi, peeled
- A handful kale or collard greens
- 2 tbsp ground flaxseeds
- 1 cup almond milk*
- 1 cup water*
Instructions
- Add all of the ingredients to a blender and blend until creamy.
