Pineapple Coconut Smoothie

This Pineapple Coconut smoothie is so similar to a pina colada without alcohol in it. It’s a quick and easy smoothie to prepare.

WHAT YOU WILL NEED:

Let’s talk about the ingredients needed to make this delicious smoothie:

  • Pineapples: are one of the fruits low in calories and adding them to your diet can go a long way in helping you lose weight given it’s rich nutrients profile as well as helping eliminate mucus.
  • Chia seeds: They are a great source of proteins, fiber & omega 3 fatty acids. They can be substituted with flaxseeds.
  • Coconut Milk: Besides been lactose free, it contains medium-chain fatty acids. Incase you don’t have coconut milk on hand you can add ¼ cup desiccated coconut or coconut flakes with ¾ cup of water.
  • Ginger Water:  You make ginger water by blending ginger with water. You can as well leave out the ginger and use plain water instead.

HOW TO MAKE PINEAPPLE COCONUT SMOOTHIE:

The making of this pineapple coconut smoothie is an easy 3 minute task yet it yields a healthy & delicious breakfast option.

Blend the ingredients: Add all of the ingredients to a blender and blend until smooth.

Ingredients
  

  • 1 cup diced pineapple
  • 1 tbsp ground flaxseeds
  • ¾ cup coconut milk*
  • ¼ cup ginger water*

Method
 

  1. Add all of the ingredients to a blender and blend until creamy.
