Because every day is a Smoothie Day, lets celebrate with a refreshing mango & beet smoothie! Start your day with this healthy & delicious mango & beet smoothie. If you don’t like beetroots at all, this smoothie will definitely make you change your stand.
The recipe has natural fruit, vegetables and water which once blended results into a stunning looking delicious smoothie.
WHAT YOU WILL NEED.
Let’s talk about the ingredients needed to make this delicious smoothie:
- Mango: This is a key ingredient as it also helps in sweetening the smoothie. You can use them either fresh or frozen. Mangoes “hide” the taste of beets hence making the smoothie way delicious.
- Beetroot: They are a great source of folate, antioxidants, and heart health benefits. They are mega powerhouses of nutrition that benefit the heart, circulatory system, detoxification, and beyond! Their colour which has betalain pigments provides the antioxidant capacity. An amazing vegetable which when combined with mango and banana is unnoticeable but delicious.
- Bananas: They make the smoothie creamier and sweet. The riper they are, the sweeter the smoothie will be. You can use them either fresh or frozen. They are also a great source of potassium and magnesium which helps control blood pressure, blood sugar and keeps bones strong.
- Spinach: Always a great way to sneak in this leafy vegetable. A great source of iron.
- Flaxseeds: They are a great source of fiber and could benefit cholesterol levels.
- Milk or water: Whenever I am using spinach, I prefer using a plant based milk or water as the blending liquid since you won’t loose the nutritional value of the spinach while the nutrients are been absorbed on digestion.

The making of this mango & beet smoothie is an easy 5 minute task yet it yields a healthy & delicious breakfast option.
Blend the ingredients: Add all of the ingredients to a blender and blend until smooth.

Mango & Beet Smoothie.
Ingredients
- 1 large frozen mango*, peeled & diced
- 1 medium beetroot, peeled
- 1 frozen banana*
- A handful spinach
- ground flaxseed*
- 1½ cup (350ml) milk* or water
Instructions
- Put all ingredients in a blender and blend for about a minute till creamy then serve.
