We all know how much flavor garlic brings to a dish yet preparing them ain’t fun. Over time I have found batch preparation of garlic been a great tip so as not to compromise on flavor. You can do it probably once a week as you meal prep. All you need is blend the cloves together with your regular cooking oil & voila! You have garlic paste to use throughout the week!

Remember to store in an airtight container in the fridge or freezer on ice cube trays and grab one while cooking.

How to make Garlic Paste

Start by peeling the garlic to get the individual cloves.

Add the garlic cloves to a blender or food processor together with the vegetable oil or olive oil and process it into a garlic paste.(You can puree till smooth or to your desired consistency.)

How to store Garlic Paste:

  • Fridge: Store in an airtight container for  up to 7 days. Incase don’t think you can use the paste within a week, consider freezing since it can cause serious poisoning.
  • Freezer: Place the garlic paste in a small ice-cube tray based on how much you normally use. You can use a teaspoon measurement to allow you know how many teaspoons you need per recipe while cooking. Allow to freeze then transfer to an airtight container or zip lock bag. It can be stored for up to 3 months.

WAYS IN WHICH YOU CAN USE GARLIC PASTE (RECIPES WITH GARLIC PASTE):

There are so many ways in which one can use garlic paste in the kitchen. Pretty much in all recipes that call for garlic cloves. Here are some of the recipes I have use garlic paste:
