Asian Inspired Ground (Minced) Beef

This Asian Inspired Ground (Minced) Beef is a fabulous quick stir fry made using ground (minced) beef. It's delicious and flavorful. Perfect served with rice or some mashed potatoes.

Ingredients
  

  • 1 tbsp oil
  • 1 onion diced
  • 2 garlic cloves minced
  • ¾ kg (750g) minced beef
  • 3 tbsp Hoisin Sauce
  • tbsp dark soy sauce
  • 2 tsp sugar
  • ¼ tsp black pepper
  • ¼ cup stock or broth or water
  • Chives or spring onions to garnish

Instructions
 

  • Heat oil in a large skillet over high heat. Add onion, cook for 1 minute or until onion starts browning.
  • Follow by adding in the garlic and cook till fragrant.
  • Add the minced beef, stir and cook till it starts browning.
  • Add the hoisin sauce, dark soy sauce, sugar, black pepper and stock/water then stir to combine. Cook for about 5 minutes or until the sauce has evaporated and beef is cooked.
  • Finally add in the chives or spring onions as a garnish then serve with rice or creamy mashed potatoes.
