Pork Masala

Are you ready for the simplest yet the best ever pork masala? It's super delicious yet so simple to make.

- 2 tbsp cooking oil
- 1 kg pork shoulder, cubed
- 2-3 onions
- 1 tbsp garlic & ginger paste
- ½ tsp garam masala
- 1 tsp coriander powder
- 1 tsp paprika powder
- 1 tbsp tomato paste
- 3 tomatoes, puree
- 2 bay leaves
- 1 cup water
- Sea salt & black pepper, to taste
- Cilantro or chives or parsley, for garnish
Start by heating some oil in a pan then sear the pork cubes till golden brown. Make sure to use a wide pan to ensure they are well seared then cook till almost done
Add the onions then stir. Allow the onions to cook till soft.
Follow by adding in the ginger-garlic paste. Stir & let it cook for about 30 seconds till fragrant.
Add in the spices and allow them to cook for a minute.
Add in the tomato paste and allow to cook for about 2 minutes.
Add the pureed tomatoes & stir. Cover and allow to cook for about 5 minutes.
Next, add in the bay leaves & a cup of water. Stir then cover to cook for about 8 minutes. Remember to season with salt & pepper to taste
Finally remove the bay leaves then garnish with cilantro or chives or parsley and serve with your desired accompaniment.
