Blueberry Banana Smoothie Ingredients:
Blueberries are known to be a great source of antioxidants and they help fight cancer, lower blood pressure and boost heart health.
Bananas on the other hand are not only sweet, creamy & delicious but also a great source of potassium and magnesium which are also vital in heart and gut health.
Flaxseeds are high in fiber, protein and omega 3s. You can use them whole or even ground. They are best absorbed ground.
Milk is high in calcium and protein which are vital for breaking a fast.
Yoghurt is also high in calcium, protein and prebiotics and helps thicken the smoothie.
Making the smoothie:
Basically you need a handful of ingredients to have this smoothie ready. You can use fresh ingredients instead of frozen then add in some ice if you love your smoothie cold. However, this is not a must. Make it your own! Incase you are going dairy free, you can use almond milk or any other nut milk and some coconut yoghurt.
Remember to blend till smooth as per how your blender works.
Serve and enjoy.
