You’ll love the sweet and savory combination of the sauce and vinegar if you happen to add it.
How to Make sweet BBQ Meatballs
These delicious sweet BBQ meatballs can be made with any type of meat but I used lean minced beef. A combination of minced beef and minced pork or minced chicken would also work well for this recipe. The meat mixture is seasoned with salt, pepper and onions so you’ll have a good kick of flavor with every bite. Grated onions helps with moisture as well as flavour.
More Beef Recipes:
Githeri Special (Maize, beans & beef) – Githeri is a traditional meal among the central people of Kenya. It’s commonly a mixture of maize and beans boiled together or separately then mixed. It can be eaten as is after seasoning with some salt though many people prefer making a stew or curry to enjoy as a complete meal. Adding beef to githeri makes it more special. Goes really well with steamed veggies on the side.
Pressure Cooked Beef Shanks (Osso Bucco) – These braised beef shanks are rich in flavor and can either be slow cooked or pressure cooked depending on how much time you have on hand. They were originally enjoyed by the Italians but have been loved by everyone who tastes them. Best served with some ugali or mashed potatoes or over some Stir Fried Vegetable Brown Rice.
Simple minced beef – Minced beef is so versatile in preparation just as rice or chicken. It also has simple recipes that one can use including this one or some technical ones like making burger patties for burgers or some meat balls or lasagna or shepherds pie: the list is endless. This simple minced beef recipe can be served with rice or pasta or even used in making some delicious samosas since it’s not soupy. (It’s a dry fry kinda dish 😉 )
Easy Homemade Lasagna – This easy homemade lasagna is the perfect date night dinner that you can enjoy. The meat sauce is tender and juicy and well seasoned. Also perfect for a family dinner.
Meatballs in white sauce gravy – These juicy meatballs in white sauce gravy are definitely a crowd pleaser. They are relatively easy to make. They are extra soft thanks to the breadcrumbs and grated onions.
