WHAT YOU WILL NEED:

Let’s talk about the ingredients needed to make this delicious breakfast:

Rolled oats- I highly recommend using plain old-fashioned rolled oats for this recipe. Quick oats are also an option but it will result in a different texture. Steel-cut oats shouldn’t be used at all in this recipe.

Chia seeds– They come in two types: either white or black chia seeds. Either can be used or a combination of both. They greatly help in thickening the oats and they are also a great source of plant protein filled with omega fatty acids. They are also quite filling.

Milk of choice– One can choose to use either regular milk or plant based milk. It provides extra creaminess and flavour. However, water can be a replacement.

Banana– This adds some sweetness to the oats. It can be an optional ingredient though.

Honey– This is another source of sweetness. It is totally optional especially if the banana you are using is sweet enough. You can substitute it with any other sweetener of choice.

Peanut butter– Very key ingredient as its name is actually derived from it. It is actually the dominant flavour of the oats.
