Orange Carrot Smoothie

This orange carrot smoothie is a healthy low sugar smoothie and perfect for breakfast. The carrots are great for boosting your immune system and add a natural sweetness and color to the smoothie.

One can swap water with any plant based milk of your choice like almond milk or oat milk.

Feel free to use either ground flaxseed or whole flaxseeds. Chia seeds would be a great substitute as well.

Almonds are high is protein but can be substituted with cashew nuts.

If you find this smoothie not as sweet as you would want it to be, you can add in a banana or some honey.

WHAT YOU WILL NEED.

Let’s talk about the ingredients needed to make this delicious smoothie:

  • Orange: They are great in immune boosting as well as makes it easier to absorb iron to fight anemia.
  • Carrots: They are high in fiber and helps keep the blood sugar in control.
  • Flaxseeds: They are a great source of fiber and could benefit cholesterol levels.
  • Water: helps in making the smoothie a smoothie.
  • Almonds: A great source of protein

HOW TO MAKE ORANGE CARROT SMOOTHIE:

The making of this orange & carrot smoothie is an easy 5 minute task yet it yields a healthy & delicious breakfast option.

Blend the ingredients: Add all of the ingredients to a blender and blend until smooth.

Ingredients
  

  • 1½ cups water*
  • 1 orange
  • ½ cup grated carrot
  • 1 tbsp flax seeds*
  • ⅓ cup almonds*
