Ingredients
Method
- Start by preheating your oven to 200°C and removing your chicken wings from the fridge for it to come to room temperature. You can do this on a tray.
- In a small bowl make the spice mix by adding in all your spices together with sea salt & black pepper. Mix well till everything is well combined.
- Once the chicken wings are at room temperature, separate the drumette, the wingette, and the wing tip then pat them dry with a paper towel.
- Next add in the vegetable oil or olive oil and massage well to coat the wings.
- Follow by adding in the spice mix to the oiled chicken wings then massage well to make sure they are all well coated.
- Place the chicken wings on a baking rack and remember to put a tray underneath covered with foil for any droplets of oil to fall on and avoid messing your oven.
- Bake the chicken wings on a preheated oven at 200°C for for 20 minutes then flip. Return for another 10-15 minutes till crispy.
Making the Garlic Butter Sauce
- Melt the butter in a small sauce pan then add in the garlic paste or minced garlic and allow to cook till golden on medium low heat.
- Follow by adding in the ketchup or tomato sauce, white vinegar, Worcestershire sauce and honey. Cook for about 5 minutes on medium low heat then remove from heat.
Coating the Chicken Wings
- Once the wings are well baked, put them in a bowl then add in the garlic butter sauce and toss them well to fully coat them.
- Garnish with some cilantro (dania) leaves then serve them hot or cold as a biting or with any accompaniment of your choice.
