Ingredients

  • 2 cups raw almonds
  • A pinch of salt, optional
  • A drizzle of honey or a splash of vanilla extract, for added flavor (optional)
  • 1 tbsp neutral oil (for creamier texture), optional,

Method

  1. Preheat your oven to 180°C (350°F).
  2. Spread almonds evenly on a baking tray. Roast for 10-12 minutes, stirring halfway, until fragrant and lightly browned.
  3. Remove from oven and let cool for 5 minutes — just enough to handle, but still warm.
  4. Transfer almonds to a food processor. Blend on high speed.
After 2-3 minutes: mixture turns crumbly.
After 5-7 minutes: it clumps together.
After 10-12 minutes: it turns smooth and creamy.
  5. Once the almond butter reaches your desired consistency, you can add a pinch of salt, a drizzle of honey, or a splash of vanilla extract for flavor and oil for extra creaminess if desired.
  6. Transfer to an airtight jar. Store in the fridge for up to 3 weeks.
